Washington Beauty School

There are many barbershops and beauty salons located around Washington State. However, many of these shops don’t see the advantages of having a website to represent their services.

On December , the owner of Washington Beauty School approached me and told me their story and vision about their small business and how they would like to have greater potential and visibility in the market by having a simple template website.

I personally consulted with them and I was amazed by how much they cared about the image they would like to present for visitors of the site. Some owners would just stay quiet on how they’d like the site to look and that makes it difficult for me to determine the themes and colors of the site. But Trinh Do and her husband knew what they wanted to do with the website.

After 2 and a half weeks of going in and out of the shop , making minor changes. We came out with a design that they were satisfied with.(The site can be seen here).

Reflections:

The beauty of a site doesn’t just rely on the color themes and how the content of the structure of the site was structured but the content itself. I had to take multiple pictures to ensure that the high quality picture meet the expectations of the clients. I made sure all of the content were protected from copyright related issues. For pictures that we could not pursue , I bought license to stock images.

What to improve next time I meet with a client:

I will need a personal consultant to spend time with the client for at least an hour. The consultant will meet up with a designer to visually design the site. The design will then be handed over to the developer.

Hey there! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website?
I’m getting tired of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and
I’m looking at options for another platform. I would be awesome if you
could point me in the direction of a good platform.
